Hawthorne Heights Concert

My oldest daughter has been a fan of Hawthorne Heights since 2005 and begged for us to take her to their concert. I had to give in because the tickets were so cheap.  For a family of five, going to a concert can be EXTREMELY expensive.  I must say, this concert was amazing! Reggie's Rock Club is an awesome place, too. There were no seats, but that didn't matter to my daughters (or us). They were there to listen to the music. I regret that I did not learn all the songs prior to going, but I still had fun.

The concert line-up included Nightbeast, The Story Changes, Monty Are I, Just Surrender, and Hawthorne Heights (in that order). We were actually surprised that The Story Changes was there (BONUS).

Nightbeast was not your typical band. He is more of a comedian that sings. The show may have been a little too much for some, but he made us laugh.

The Story Changes was great! I had never heard their music before, but we bought ALL their CDs after the show (a special thanks to the stranger that paid $5 for us to get even more). The drummer actually took his socks and shoes off to perform. Whatever works! We also picked up a t-shirt.

I was really looking forward to hearing Monty Are I and they did not let me down. They showed true devotion to their fans because they were all fighting some type of illness at the time and performed anyway! They also got the crowd involved and it was great! We picked up an autographed CD after the show.

Courtney knew all the words to Just Surrender's songs. Kaitlin and Kristin knew some too. The most amazing part for Kaitlin was when she caught the drummer's drumstick.

Hawthorne Heights really kicked it in high gear and everyone was singing along. Eron, the drummer, signed Courtney's drumsticks and got a hoodie. We also caught one of their guitar picks and picked up a signed t-shirt!

All in all it was a great first concert. There were a few rowdy people there, but our daughters were not affected. I have many pictures and a couple of videos too. Check them out!

Oh, and BUY TICKETS!  They are not too expensive and the show is worth every penny!
